The approximately 250-page publication “System & Series. Systembau in der Schweiz – Geschichte und Erhaltung” (System Building in Switzerland – History and Preservation) by the working group «System und Serie» of ICOMOS Suisse is the conclusion of the research project on building systems and system buildings developed and realized in Switzerland. In addition to scholarly essays on the history and significance of system building in Switzerland, the book contains many detailed portraits of Swiss building systems and system buildings erected here. In addition, there are two interdisciplinary discussions on the aspects of building physics and statics, as well as a comprehensive index of works, a glossary, and a list of persons.
